Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:45 PM; Saturdays 7:30 AM
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour

About the Opportunity

A well-established food distribution operation in the San Jose area is seeking dependable Warehouse Associates to support pallet preparation and outbound staging. This role focuses on accurately building, wrapping, and staging pallets for shipment in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled warehouse environment. This is a long-term, contract-to-hire opportunity for candidates with hands-on warehouse and equipment experience.

Duties

  • Prepare and build pallets according to packing lists and work orders
  • Organize, wrap, and secure food products on pallets for outbound shipment
  • Move completed pallets to designated staging areas using pallet jack or forklift
  • Follow written work orders and verbal instructions accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas
  • Safely maneuver pallets within staging and loading zones

 

Requirements

  • Some prior warehouse experience required
  • Minimum one year of forklift operating experience
  • Experience using a pallet jack
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
