Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Setup & Programmer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with both CNC milling and turning operations, along with the ability to independently set up, program, troubleshoot, and optimize machining processes.

This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality precision components while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and optimize CNC mills and CNC lathes for production.
Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam software.
Program and operate machines utilizing Fanuc controls.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements.
Perform first-off inspections and verify part quality meets required standards and tolerances.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Monitor machining operations to ensure consistent quality and production output.
Maintain accurate setup documentation and machining records as required.
Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and production goals.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC setup and programming for both mill and lathe machines.
Strong proficiency with Mastercam programming software.
Solid knowledge and experience working with Fanuc controls.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
Experience with conventional milling and lathe machines is considered an asset.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
