Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Setup & Programmer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with both CNC milling and turning operations, along with the ability to independently set up, program, troubleshoot, and optimize machining processes.

This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality precision components while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and optimize CNC mills and CNC lathes for production.
  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam software.
  • Program and operate machines utilizing Fanuc controls.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Perform first-off inspections and verify part quality meets required standards and tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor machining operations to ensure consistent quality and production output.
  • Maintain accurate setup documentation and machining records as required.
  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and production goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC setup and programming for both mill and lathe machines.
  • Strong proficiency with Mastercam programming software.
  • Solid knowledge and experience working with Fanuc controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
  • Experience with conventional milling and lathe machines is considered an asset.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
