Inventory Analyst Position Summary - Temporary 

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Analyst to support inventory planning, reporting, and inventory control functions across multiple warehouse locations. This role is responsible for monitoring inventory accuracy, analyzing trends, supporting reconciliation efforts, and collaborating cross-functionally to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.

Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Planning & Control

  • Assist with daily inventory reconciliation across warehouse and internal systems
  • Monitor and manage slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory
  • Support inventory liquidation and disposal processes in partnership with warehouse and sales teams
  • Assist with inventory planning and control related to repacking activities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and reporting

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain inventory dashboards and KPI reports
  • Analyze inventory, demand, and supply data to identify trends and risks
  • Support monthly inventory reviews and reporting processes
  • Assist with inventory-related reporting for finance and operations teams

Demand & Supply Coordination

  • Partner with supply chain, logistics, and sales teams to align inventory with forecasts and business needs
  • Support inventory balancing across multiple warehouse locations
  • Assist with new product launches, promotions, and product phase-outs from an inventory perspective

Logistics & Warehouse Support

  • Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient operations
  • Support cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and inventory adjustments
  • Monitor inbound inventory and transfer activity to minimize delays and costs
  • Assist with repacking and value-added service tracking and reporting

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, reporting, and data accuracy
  • Support ERP, reporting, and automation initiatives
  • Assist in documenting and maintaining inventory-related SOPs and procedures

QualificationsEducation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, Analytics, or related field preferred

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or consumer products environments is a plus
  • Experience working with high-volume inventory and multiple SKUs preferred

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools preferred
  • Understanding of inventory planning concepts such as safety stock, inventory turns, and service levels
