Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Hospital Setting

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our hospital team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality clinical and administrative support to physicians and nursing staff in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role requires strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care and clinical procedures
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection as directed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR)
- Administer injections and medications as permitted by scope of practice
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care
- Provide excellent patient communication and support
- Follow hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting
- Current certification from one of the following:
- AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)
- NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing)
- NHA (National Healthcareer Association)
- Registered with AMT (American Medical Technologists)
- Strong understanding of clinical procedures and patient care workflows
- Ability to work Monday through Friday on-site
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred
