Maintenance Technician- Direct Hire

Located in Warren, MI

Salary: $26-$28

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to support the repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of production equipment within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, experience working in an industrial environment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The Maintenance Technician will work closely with production leadership and report directly to the Plant Manager while supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform industrial maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with production machinery, including vendor-supported equipment
• Clean, lubricate, adjust, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using test equipment, voltmeters, machine error messages, and operator feedback
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery for inspections, repairs, and part replacement
• Continually monitor equipment performance and make necessary operational adjustments
• Study blueprints, schematics, and manuals to ensure proper installation and operation of machinery
• Cut and weld metal to repair or fabricate equipment components as needed
• Record maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and order replacement materials when necessary
• Lead and participate in problem-solving and lean continuous improvement activities
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Complete all required paperwork and electronic maintenance documentation accurately and timely

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience required
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills
• Experience working with industrial production and processing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documents
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Degree in Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe maintenance practices
• Ability to perform physical job requirements including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tight or awkward spaces
