CPA / Staff Accountant – Tax Preparation Experience Required

We are seeking a detail-oriented CPA or Staff Accountant with experience in tax preparation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting clients with accounting and tax-related needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and payroll tax returns
• Maintain financial records and general ledger accounts
• Reconcile bank statements and financial reports
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Communicate with clients regarding financial and tax matters
• Support audits and provide documentation as needed
• Use accounting software to process financial data accurately

Qualifications

• CPA license preferred, but not required for Staff Accountant role
• Experience with tax preparation and accounting procedures
• Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
