Job Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Manager / Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving functions within a food manufacturing environment. This role provides direct leadership to warehouse staff and ensures the accurate, timely movement of raw materials and finished goods, while maintaining full accountability for documentation, inventory transactions, and compliance standards.

This is a hands-on leadership position, balancing oversight of team performance, logistics operations, inventory control, and food safety compliance with active involvement on the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments (trucks and carriers)
Ensure finished goods and raw materials are properly staged for shipping and receiving
Support Order Pullers and warehouse team members based on operational demands
Complete and verify shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs)
Ensure accurate inventory management and receiving transactions in the ERP system
Enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out), lot traceability, allergen control, and food safety standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven leadership and supervisory experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or food manufacturing operations
Strong accountability, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
High level of accuracy and timeliness in completing paperwork and system transactions
Ability to learn, apply, and enforce plant procedures, safety standards, and operational programs
Proficiency with ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software
Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks

Work Environment

Hands-on leadership in warehouse, cooler, and freezer environments
Ability to assist with physical warehouse tasks when needed
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
