Job Description

Our client is currently seeking an entry level assembler and general laborer to work with the assembly team to ensure our products are designed, built and delivered right every time.
The ideal candidate will be a team player and have mechanical aptitude. Job duties will include, but not limited to; use of various hand tools, fastening parts and assemblies, examining connections for correct fit and gathering of needed parts and materials. Opportunities for cross training in other departments.

 

Works under immediate supervision. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

 

Position Type: Full-time position – 8 hour shift, Monday through Friday
Work Location: One location, Georgetown, MA

Essential Functions:
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.

Physical Demands:
• Ability to work in a fast paced, large non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift 10-30 lbs. with the assistance of another employee or using a cart
• Standing a minimum of 8 hours a day
• Sitting a minimum of 0 hours a day
• Walking a minimum of 8 hours a day
• Pulling/Pushing a minimum of 4 hours a day
• Ability to pass physical exam, criminal background and drug screening

Required Experience:
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Punctual
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Sense of urgency
• Positive Attitude
• Mathematical aptitude
• Mechanical aptitude

Educational Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
