Warehouse Manager

Monday-Friday / 11:00am-7:00pm

An established ice cream distribution company in Santa Ana is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for overseeing receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and team leadership while ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience in warehouse or distribution environments, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage fast-paced operations effectively.

Warehouse Manager Responsibilities

  • Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control
  • Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse staff, including supervisors, leads, and associates
  • Implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and inventory accuracy
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, audits, and warehouse management systems
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Manage warehouse budgets and control operational costs including labor, equipment, and supplies
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Sales, and Customer Service teams to meet delivery timelines
  • Monitor KPIs including order accuracy, productivity, shrinkage, and on-time shipping
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout warehouse operations
  • Oversee facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, and warehouse security
  • Handle employee scheduling, hiring, performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions

Warehouse Manager Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • 5+ years of warehouse or distribution center experience
  • Minimum 2–3 years in a management role
  • Experience managing teams of 20+ employees
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Experience with inventory management, logistics, and lean warehousing practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Google Workspace
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of material handling equipment
  • Familiarity with warehouse and DSD systems preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
