Winding Technician

Our transformer manufacturing client in Oregon is looking to add a Winding Technician to their team. Join this growing company and enjoy their flexible work schedule!

 

Coil Winders are responsible for operating automatic winding machines, to produce precision coils for use in medium voltage control power transformers. This machine operates similar to a sewing machine. 

 

Responsibilities: 

• Wind copper magnet wire of various gauges meeting all production standards.
• Utilization of fine gage magnet wire to be wrapped side by side onto lead wire with precision.
• Work with mechanical counters and make necessary adjustments.
• Utilize hand tools to trim wire and solder.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications: 

• Ability to sit long periods of time
• Ability to work on small, intricate parts 
• Great attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and be a part of a team 
• Previous soldering/sewing experience a plus

Pay: $20+/hr depending on experience

 

Schedule: Flexible, open 5am - 5pm. 1st shift only.
