Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a skilled Machinist – Press Brake for a full-time 2nd Shift opportunity in a metal fabrication environment. This is a true machinist-level role requiring candidates who can independently set up, program, troubleshoot, and operate CNC Press Brake machines.

We are seeking experienced candidates who are comfortable reading blueprints, working with measuring tools, and maintaining production quality in a fast-paced fabrication setting.

This is not a basic machine operator role; setup and programming experience are required.

Responsibilities

As a Machinist – Press Brake, your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and operating CNC Press Brake machines.
  • Programming machines according to blueprint and work order specifications.
  • Performing machine diagnostics and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders.
  • Selecting and adjusting tooling, dies, and machine settings as needed.
  • Using precision measuring tools including:
    • Calipers
    • Tape Measures
    • Gauges
    • Micrometers
  • Verifying finished products meet required tolerances and specifications.
  • Performing setups and programming on multiple machines throughout the shift.
  • Maintaining production efficiency while ensuring product quality.
  • Working in a physically active role involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience setting up and running Press Brake machines REQUIRED.
  • Experience with CNC programming and machine setup REQUIRED.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills REQUIRED.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools.
  • Experience with Durma Press Brakes highly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and fabrication knowledge.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work history preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates without setup/programming experience will not be considered.

Shifts & Hours

  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday
  • 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Full-Time
  • Overtime may be available based on production needs

Pay & Benefits

  • $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
