Express Employment Professionals is hiring experienced Extrusion / Machine Operators for a full-time 3rd Shift opportunity in a manufacturing environment. This role involves operating and supporting extrusion lines, texturing/winder units, and production support systems while ensuring product quality and machine efficiency.

We are seeking mechanically inclined candidates who are comfortable troubleshooting equipment, monitoring production processes, and working hands-on within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

🚫 This is not a basic button-pushing role — manufacturing and machine operation experience is required.

Responsibilities

As an Extrusion / Machine Operator, your responsibilities will include:

Operating and monitoring extrusion lines, texturing units, and winder systems.
Inspecting yarn paths and package builds to ensure first-quality product output.
Monitoring thread lines, finish guides, and winding processes for consistency and quality.
Assisting with line startups, pack changeovers, and machine shutdowns.
Troubleshooting production and machine issues proactively to minimize downtime.
Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machinery as trained.
Using specification sheets to properly set up extrusion and texturing/winder equipment.
Completing all production documents and quality paperwork accurately.
Assisting with loading and unloading trucks and materials.
Operating pallet jacks and forklifts to move finished goods to designated areas.
Monitoring spare parts inventory and reporting low inventory levels.
Supporting and training employees on machine operation when needed.
Promoting safety, quality, teamwork, and strong communication during shift transitions.
Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards throughout the shift.

Requirements

Prior machine operating or manufacturing experience REQUIRED.
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machinery operation.
Ability to troubleshoot and identify production issues.
Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred.
Strong reading, writing, communication, and comprehension skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks and remain on feet throughout the shift.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, including weekends.
Safety-focused mindset and strong attention to detail.

Skills & Qualifications

Schedule & Hours

3rd Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
2-2-3 Rotating Schedule
Includes weekends
Full-Time

Pay & Benefits

$18.00 – $19.00 per hour, based on experience.
Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals.
