About The Position:

Our client has been a Hamilton based manufacturer established in 1989 and specializing in custom metal fabrication and we are seeking a reliable and hardworking Assembler / General Labourer to join our team. This position is responsible for assembling worktables, rolling carts, and other fabricated products, as well as building wooden crates for shipping and supporting general shop operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand and power tools, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

 

 

• Assemble fabricated products including worktables, rolling carts, shelving units, and custom equipment
• Build wooden crates and skids for shipping and transportation
• Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and measurements
• Use hand tools, power tools, drills, saws, and measuring equipment safely and accurately
• Perform basic material handling and move products throughout the shop
• Assist with packaging, wrapping, and preparing orders for shipment
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Support other departments and shop projects as required
• Follow all company health and safety procedures

 

Wage: $23.00+ per hour

 

What We Are Looking For:

 

• Previous assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, or general labour experience considered an asset
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Forklift experience is considered an asset
• Steel toe safety boots required
