Pay: $20–24/HR (DOE)
Schedule: Monday: 10:00 AM–4:30 PM (Delivery/Driving) | Tuesday–Thursday: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (Cooking/Food Preparation)

Cook & Food Service Driver Opportunity

We are hiring an experienced Cook / Food Service Driver to support a hospital and medical nutrition program. This position is ideal for someone with experience in healthcare food service, institutional cooking, senior nutrition programs, hospital kitchens, school nutrition services, or high-volume food production who enjoys a combination of kitchen responsibilities and delivery duties.

In this role, you will help prepare nutritious meals, maintain food safety standards, and ensure timely delivery of meals, supplies, and equipment to service locations. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals by following menus, recipes, and production schedules
  • Cook and serve food on time for multiple service locations
  • Drive between sites to deliver meals, supplies, and equipment (company vehicle provided)
  • Maintain proper food safety and temperature standards
  • Check food quality, portion sizes, and presentation
  • Keep kitchen, prep, and dish areas clean and organized
  • Label, date, and store food correctly using FIFO (first in, first out)
  • Record food temperatures and follow safety procedures
  • Maintain sanitation standards, including handwashing and contamination prevention
  • Follow all food worker guidelines and report any illness as required

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Valid Washington State Food Worker Card required
  • At least 1 year of cooking experience in:
    • Healthcare, hospital, or senior nutrition programs
    • School or institutional food service
    • Commercial or high-volume kitchens
  • Ability to follow recipes and standardized processes
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and food safety practices

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Perform repetitive kitchen and delivery tasks
