Cook – Hospital Kitchen (High-Volume / Batch Cooking Required)
Shifts Available:
- AM Cook: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- PM Cook: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Requirements to Apply:
- Minimum 2 years of high-volume / batch cooking experience required
- Experience must include preparing large quantities of the same menu items (institutional cooking such as hospitals, schools, cafeterias, etc.)
- Short-order or line cook experience alone is not sufficient
Position Overview:
We are hiring a dependable Cook to join a hospital kitchen team. In this role, you will prepare large-scale meals for patients, staff, and visitors while following strict dietary guidelines and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals using standardized recipes and dietary guidelines
- Cook large batches of food with consistency and accuracy
- Follow patient dietary restrictions and portion requirements
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen
- Follow all food safety regulations
- Assist with prep, stocking, and inventory
- Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of high-volume or institutional cooking experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions closely
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30–50 lbs
Requirements:
- Food Handler’s Permit preferred
- Must be willing to obtain upon hire
