Valve Technician 
Broussard, La | Full-time| $15–$17/hr.

 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Valve Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, testing, assembling, and maintaining valves and related equipment used in industrial and oilfield applications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.

Duties:

• Inspect, disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble valves and related components

• Perform pressure and functional testing on valves and equipment

• Identify worn or damaged parts and recommend repairs or replacements

• Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical drawings

• Maintain accurate repair and testing documentation

• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment

• Troubleshoot valve performance and operational issues

• Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules

 

Requirements:

• Previous valve repair, mechanical, oilfield, or industrial experience required

• Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring equipment

• Ability to read and understand technical documents and specifications

• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a shop environment

 

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

 

Pay:

• $15–$17/hr. DOE
