Car Detailer

Located in Christiansburg, VA

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer. The Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, polishing, and maintaining the appearance of customer and dealership vehicles. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, wax, buff, and polish vehicle exteriors
• Vacuum, shampoo, and clean vehicle interiors including carpets, seats, dashboards, and windows
• Apply protective finishes and treatments to vehicle surfaces
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and report any damage or maintenance concerns
• Clean engine compartments, wheels, and tires
• Maintain detailing tools, equipment, and supplies
• Move and park vehicles safely on dealership or shop property
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Assist with additional shop or lot duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous automotive detailing or car wash experience preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in varying weather conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Work Environment

• Fast-paced automotive dealership, service center, or detailing shop
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, water, and vehicle fumes
• Use of detailing tools and equipment including buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers
