Salary: $18/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Warehouse Worker to join a local company in Tyler, TX! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas who have openings they are looking to fill with great talent we find for them!

Responsibilities

• Keep warehouse organized with all materials properly stored and easy to locate

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, including:

• Shop floors

• Hardware room

• Loading dock (interior and exterior)

• Parking lot and outside areas

• Unload freight trucks using forklift and/or pallet jack

• Inspect inbound freight for damage and notify management immediately if issues are found

• Stock shelves and inventory as directed by supervisor

• Notify supervisor of low inventory items and shop supplies

• Assist customers with loading materials

• Load and deliver materials to jobsites/customers using company truck and occasionally a trailer

• Occasionally build enclosed wood pallets for shipping materials

• Empty warehouse trash cans and place dumpster outside before pickup day

• Assist with grounds maintenance including mowing, blowing, and keeping outdoor areas clean and tidy

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to read and interpret measurements using a tape measure

• Experience with basic hand tools

• Experience with power hand tools

• Experience preferred (but not required) with:

  • Forklift operation

  • Driving trucks and trailers

   

• Detail-oriented and organized

• Good with numbers and inventory awareness

• Team-oriented with willingness to take direction and help where needed

• Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to stay productive with little downtime

• Ability to work in heat and cold conditions
