Paint Technician

Located in Grand Rapids, MI

Salary: $24-30/hr BOE

Paint Technician Job Summary:

An automotive manufacturing company is seeking a quality technician to assist their team.  This position requires a team member who will be responsible for quality testing on a plant-wide level, ensuring product meets customer specifications and performance requirements The role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Paint Technician Responsibilities:

• Applies spray sealer and top coats
• Matches finishes to custom colors
• Hand Spray first shots and samples 
• Track Supplies (Paint inventory and material)
• Maintains basic preventive maintenance on spray booths and equipment
• Performs basic functions on the ERP computer system (clocking in and out, work order maintenance)
• Keeps work area neat and clean according to company standards
• Set up paint booth per paint production schedule

 Schedule and Pay:

• 2nd shift: 2:30pm-12:30am Mon-Fri (OT as needed)
• $24-30/HR

Paint Technician Qualifications:

• Sitting or standing as needed
• Frequent walking, occasional bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling and twisting
• Frequent reaching above or below shoulder height
• Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting 50 pounds
• High school graduate or certificate of equivalency
• Background in Automotive, paint robots, understands paint process
• 6+ months of painting technician experience
