We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist / Fabricator to join our team. This role is responsible for machining, fabricating, and assembling metal components using manual equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and welding tools. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, can interpret technical drawings, and is capable of producing precise parts to tight tolerances. The schedule is 1st shift, M-F 7:30am-4pm

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Fabricate, cut, shape, and assemble metal components to specifications
• Perform layout work and material preparation
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify tolerances
• Conduct basic welding, cutting, and finishing operations as required
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain equipment, tools, and a clean, safe work environment
• Troubleshoot machining or fabrication issues and adjust processes accordingly
• Collaborate with production teams as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in manual machining and/or fabrication
• Proficiency with manual mills, lathes, and shop equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and machining processes
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
