We are seeking a dependable and motivated Level 1 Building Maintenance Technician to support the daily upkeep and operation of a large multi-floor commercial facility with many tenants. This entry-level role is responsible for assisting with general maintenance, repairs, inspections, and building support tasks to help ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for tenants, staff, and visitors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the building
• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC, and carpentry tasks
• Conduct daily walkthroughs and inspections of common areas, mechanical rooms, stairwells, restrooms, and exterior grounds
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
• Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, air filters, and other basic building components
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops, storage rooms, and equipment areas
• Assist senior maintenance staff with larger repair projects and preventative maintenance tasks
• Operate basic maintenance tools and equipment safely
• Report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and building concerns to supervisors
• Support emergency response procedures as needed
• Maintain professional communication with tenants, vendors, and staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous maintenance, janitorial, construction, or facility experience is a plus but not required
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and general repair practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to work in a large multi-story facility and travel between floors frequently
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods
