Pressman Operator Trainee

Location: Mansfield, OH
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)  
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2^nd Shift 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm

Pay: $20.00/ hour

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a Pressman Operator Trainee is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing press machines used to print packaging, labels, magazines, and other materials.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Retrieves and loads dies into and out of press
• Completes make ready for cutting
• Assembles needed supplies and crew for work team to run press
• Receives approval from supervisor to run job
• Checks cutting every 50-100 sheets
• Directs crew as needed during and after job to complete job in a timely manner.

 

Job Requirements

• Must possess excellent shop math skills: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions. Must pass a sixth-grade math test.
• Must possess mechanical inclination and understand how equipment works.
• Must be detailed and able to read a tape measure to 1/64”.
• Must possess “can do” spirit with high level of interest in problem solving.
