Schedule: 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – Midnight

Overtime available

Time-and-a-half paid after 40 hours

About the Role:

Express Employment of Monroe is currently seeking a skilled Diesel / Heavy Truck Mechanic to support maintenance and repair of semi trucks and trailers in a fast-paced shop environment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, problem solving, and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and after-treatment system issues
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on trucks and trailers
• Troubleshoot and repair engines, braking systems, and drivetrain components
• Complete small fabrication repairs as needed
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and follow safety procedures

Qualifications

• Experience working on diesel trucks, semis, or heavy equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance independently
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus (not required)
• Reliable and able to work a consistent 2nd shift schedule
