We are seeking two skilled Precision CNC Machinist - Milling for a second-shift opportunity with a well-established manufacturer. This is a contract-to-hire position offering long-term potential.
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, making edits, and operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
Schedule:
- Second Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Overtime: Scheduled on Fridays as needed
Pay: $20-25 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, and operate CNC machines including Fadal, Haas, Siemens, and Heidenhain controls
- Write and modify G and M code
- Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and deburring operations
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Use CAD software to view 3D models and collaborate with engineers on design improvements
- Operate air tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes (5- and 10-ton)
- Conduct in-process inspections and ensure parts meet tolerance and finish requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform routine machine maintenance
- Select and install optimal tooling for various machining operations
- Work overtime as needed
Qualifications:
- Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges
- Strong understanding of decimals, fractions, and conversions
- Comfortable using Windows-based PCs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Experience with Fusion 360 or BobCAD v27 is a plus
- Dependable, honest, and responsible work ethic
- Prior experience with CNC and manual machining
- Solid understanding of machining processes and tool/die manufacturing
