Full time DIRECT HIRE - Remote opportunity for Application and Sales Engineer - San Antonio, TX

 

An individual contributor position responsible for providing technical leadership and commercial support for capital equipment, system upgrades and engineered solutions sold into the scrap metal recycling industry.

 

This role combines front-end sales engineering and customer facing technical leadership (approx 70-75%) with applications engineering, commissioning support and post sales problem solving (approx 25-30%). serves as a key technical link between Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations Supply and Service. 

 

Performs application engineering functions including equipment sizing, system configuration, layout development and review of mechanical and electrical drawings, serve as technical support during order execution, manufacturing hand-off, installation, commissioning and start up phase.

 

8-12 years experience in applications engineering. sales engineering or technical sales within a metal recycling or similar heavy equipment industrial environments required.

 

BA Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, Metallurgical, Industrial or closely related discipline required. 

 

Domestic and International travel required.

Bilingual a plus in any of the following languages: Spanish/German/French/Portuguese
