Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals – Forest Lake is seeking reliable and mechanically inclined candidates for Setup Tech openings in Scandia, MN. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting efficient production operations.

Pay & Schedule

Hourly Pay: $20–$23/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Employment Type: Evaluation-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup Tasks — Perform complete setup, changeovers, and adjustments on production equipment according to specifications.

• Troubleshooting Support — Diagnose and correct mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

• Quality Verification — Inspect parts during and after setup to ensure proper dimensions and quality standards.

• Preventive Maintenance — Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on machines.

• Documentation Updates — Record setup parameters, production data, and maintenance notes accurately.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Aptitude — Ability to understand mechanical systems, tooling, and machine functions.

• Experience With Production Equipment — Previous setup, machine operation, or maintenance experience preferred.

• Blueprint/Spec Reading — Ability to read and interpret basic prints, work orders, and setup sheets.

• Problem-Solving Skills — Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.

• Physical Requirements — Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift.
