Trim Machine Operator Brass & Aluminum Departments

Location: Laurens, SC
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Openings: Multiple (1st & 2nd shifts, occasional weekend work)

Job Summary:

Express Employment Professionals is seeking dependable and motivated individuals for Trim Machine Operator roles in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at Brawo USA. These are trainable positions; no direct experience required, though candidates with manufacturing, forging, or machining backgrounds are highly preferred. This role involves operating trim machines, performing finishing tasks, inspecting parts, and meeting production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Shift: 1st 5:30am 2:30pm | 3rd 9:30pm 5:30am | Occasional weekends

Key Responsibilities:

-Execute production tasks on trim machines: trimming, buffing, blasting,loading/unloading ovens
-Box and label trimmed parts using the STAIN system
-Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality
-Maintain production rate and report machine trends to the Forging Supervisor
-Keep work area clean and organized
-Follow all ISO9001 procedures and company safety guidelines
-Operate forklifts or coordinate with Material Handlers for moving parts
-Complete all part checks and provide documentation to Quality (QTY) department

Qualifications:

-Forklift license required
-Knowledge of mechanical forging and production control procedures preferred
-Ability to work flexible shifts (1st & 2nd) and occasional weekends
-Basic understanding of measurement tools and mechanical drawings
-Strong attention to detail and reliability
-Comfortable with physical work and repetitive tasks

Physical Requirements:

-Ability to stand for extended periods
-Frequent lifting, bending, and repetitive motion (occasionally up to 50 lbs)
-Comfortable in environments with hot/cold temperatures and dust
-Able to meet production demands consistently

Work Environment:

-Loud manufacturing setting
-Exposure to brass and aluminum materials (proper hygiene and PPE required)
-Smoke-free facility
-Safety-first environment with PPE provided

Additional Information:

-Safety equipment provided: gloves, sleeve guards, ear plugs, safety glasses
-Must wear steel-toe or composite boots; pants required (no shorts)
-Safety orientation conducted by EHS Manager
