HVAC Technician – Facilities Operations

Pay:

$27–$29/hr

Monday – Friday
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

6-Month Open-Ended Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support facility operations within a healthcare environment. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and modifying commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency and safety.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, ventilation systems, and building automation controls while maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, exhaust, and ventilation systems
  • Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical HVAC components
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration systems and associated equipment
  • Work with building automation and management systems to optimize performance
  • Conduct system audits and make operational adjustments for efficiency
  • Maintain cooling towers and perform water treatment maintenance
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and work orders
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately with strong verbal and written communication
  • Follow all safety, compliance, and healthcare facility procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems
  • Experience with:
    • Air conditioning systems
    • Refrigeration systems
    • Evaporative cooling systems
    • Exhaust and ventilation equipment
    • Electrical troubleshooting
    • Building automation systems
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Trade school education or specialized HVAC training preferred
  • EPA Certification required
  • Must provide own tools

Preferred Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Knowledge of plumbing, sheet metal, refrigeration, and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and preventative maintenance practices
  • Experience working in healthcare or commercial facilities is a plus
