Forklift Operator/Loader

Salary: $19.80/hr

We're searching for a safe and experienced Forklift Operator/Loader for a manufacturing facility in Arden, NC.

 

You will work with a team handling the movement of materials and products, including taking part in warehouse organizing and finished goods inspection, taking product off the production line and putting it away in designated locations in the warehouse, and providing raw materials to production lines. Forklift Operators may also fill in for other jobs in the facility.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform pre-shift forklift inspections on forklift.
Record preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics, performing mathematical calculations as needed.
Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift to move raw materials or finished products throughout the manufacturing floor, which includes, but is not limited to, keeping production line clear and running and keeping product and raw materials properly stored.
Visually inspect material for quality defects. Segregate defective products and notify supervisor.
Fill dumpsters from production floor; Housekeeping of plant (inside and out).
Work as a team with production and shipping team to follow all facility Standard Works/processes and improve operations.
Support the recycling/scrap area, when needed, and help to keep it organized.
Assists other forklift operators as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

 

Schedule is Monday - Friday 7am to 3pm. $19.80/hr to start.
