Production Supervisor

We are looking for a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for directing shift operations to ensure production schedules, safety standards, and quality targets are consistently met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Direct and coordinate the work of hourly employees on shift to meet production schedules.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure machines are operated within established parameters and that final products conform to quality standards.
  • Personnel Management: Maintain accurate records for attendance, performance, and training while handling corrective actions and annual performance reviews.
  • Safety & Compliance: Encourage safe work behavior, identify potential hazards, and take immediate action to prevent unsafe conditions.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate the development and cross-training of employees.
  • Reporting: Ensure the accuracy of all production, warehousing, and shipping reports, as well as employee time records.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain high standards for housekeeping and ensure the proper use of chemical recycling programs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Experience: Previous foam manufacturing experience and/or supervisory training is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: PC literate with the ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PeopleSoft, and ADP.
  • Communication: Strong ability to read safety rules and procedure manuals, write routine reports, and speak effectively to team members.
  • Mathematical Aptitude: Ability to work with concepts such as probability, statistics, fractions, and ratios for forecasting.
  • Certifications: Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a forklift.

Physical Requirements

  • Strength & Agility: Ability to lift or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Mobility: Regularly required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs or ladders.
  • Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces and tolerate working with chemicals.
  • Vision: Must have clear close, distance, and color vision, as well as depth perception.

Travel

  • Occasional travel may be required for seminars, meetings, or training at corporate offices, vendor sites, or other plants.
