One of Southern Oregon’s fastest growing companies is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead their team! The Director of Marketing serves as the strategic and operational leader of the global Innovation function within the United States and acts as the U.S.-based representative of the VP of Innovation. This role is responsible for ensuring structured execution, governance discipline, cross-functional alignment, and strategic visibility across innovation initiatives. The Director of Innovation will directly lead Brand and UI/UX functions, bridge U.S. and international innovation efforts, and ensure that innovation programs are delivered with ownership, clarity, and measurable impact.

What You Get to Do!
• Act as the U.S.-based representative of the VP of Innovation, ensuring alignment between executive strategy and operational execution.
• Provide leadership and direction to the Brand Manager and UI/UX Manager, ensuring clarity of priorities, accountability, and performance excellence.
• Establish structured reporting systems including dashboards, milestone tracking, KPI monitoring, and executive-ready summaries.
• Clear roadblocks proactively and resolve cross-departmental friction without requiring constant executive escalation.
• Develop and implement innovation governance frameworks that increase visibility, predictability, and execution discipline.
• Lead strategic planning and execution of brand positioning, digital experience strategy, and innovation portfolio initiatives.
• Serve as a structural bridge between U.S. and international innovation teams, ensuring alignment, communication clarity, and synchronized execution.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Quality, and Marketing to ensure innovation initiatives are operationally executable and commercially aligned.
• Oversee innovation project lifecycle from ideation through execution, ensuring timeline adherence, budget discipline, and measurable outcomes.
• Define and monitor KPIs for innovation initiatives and provide structured performance reporting to executive leadership.
• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, structured execution, and solution-oriented thinking.
• Manage assigned departmental budget with financial responsibility and strategic allocation.
• Represent the Innovation function in executive or cross-functional meetings when delegated by the VP of Innovation.
• Foster a high-performance, growth-oriented environment within the Innovation team.
• Maintain a professional, collaborative environment free from hostile or disruptive behavior.
What You Will Bring…
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive leadership experience in Innovation, Digital Strategy, Brand Leadership, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience operating in multi-regional or global organizations strongly preferred.
• Experience in structured reporting, governance systems, and executive-level communication required.
• Proven leadership capability in innovation, digital transformation, brand strategy, or cross-functional program management.
• Strong executive communication skills, including structured reporting and board-level presentation readiness.
• Demonstrated ability to build governance frameworks and reporting systems.
• High ownership mentality with proactive problem-solving capability.
• Ability to operate effectively in international, cross-cultural environments.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to influence without formal authority across departments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High organizational discipline and attention to detail.
• Financial awareness and budget management capability.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as business needs dictate.
