IT Intern

Position Summary

The IT Intern is responsible for providing front-line technical support to end users, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and technical assistance both on-site and remotely across multiple locations. This role requires strong customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support for end users
• Deploy and redeploy computers and workstations as needed
• Image and configure computers
• Install and troubleshoot software applications
• Configure and support printers and peripheral devices
• Maintain accurate technical documentation of installed equipment
• Manage and triage service requests and incidents through a ticketing system
• Work with users to identify hardware, software, and system requirements
• Complete assigned technical projects with clear and professional communication throughout the process
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Preferred Technical Skills

Experience with the following is preferred:

• Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 10, and Windows 11
• Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Microsoft Server 2012 and newer
• Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GPO)

Education & Experience

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
  (Relevant work experience may be considered in place of a degree)
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
