We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team in Brampton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse distribution operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth warehouse workflows and ensuring accurate order picking and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials throughout the warehouse
• Load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, or storage areas with precision and care
• Assist with order picking using warehouse management systems (WMS) to fulfill customer orders accurately
• Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
• Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues when necessary
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment
• Assist in organizing warehouse space for optimal storage efficiency
• Heavy lifting of materials up to specified weight limits as required

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers
• Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems (WMS)
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting on equipment
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to forklift operation and warehouse work
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
• Prior experience with order picking is preferred but not required
• Valid forklift certification/license is highly desirable
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and operate equipment throughout shifts
