Purchasing Agent

Located in Greenville, TX

Salary: $18/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Purchasing Agent position for a local Greenville, Tx company! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas that have full-time, part-time and temporary. Since we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services!

In this role, you will:

• Purchase raw materials, components, and supplies needed for fabrication and production
• Create and manage purchase orders (POs)
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery schedules
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery to support production schedules
• Review and verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor files
• Coordinate with production and management teams to ensure material availability for operations
• Assist with sourcing materials and services to support fabrication projects

We like to hear from candidates with the following:

• Previous purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Understanding of fabrication materials such as steel, components, and shop supplies preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Dependable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with purchasing systems or ERP software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• QuickBooks or other accounting software experience a plus
• Ability to read basic blueprints or material specifications is a plus
