Pay Rate: $19.50/hour
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Must be flexible to do Over-time.

A growing manufacturing company in Aurora, IL is seeking a Press Brake Setup/Operator to join their team! This is a great opportunity for candidates with metal fabrication experience who are looking to grow in a stable production environment.


Position Overview

The Press Brake Setup/Operator is responsible for operating press brake machines and supporting production by assembling parts, bending metal, and operating various shop equipment. This role requires producing high-quality parts that meet precise engineering specifications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake machines, including tooling installation, program loading, and parameter adjustments
  • Perform metal bending, punching, and sawing operations as directed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production
  • Inspect parts during and after production to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
  • Calculate bend allowances, blank sizes, tonnage, and tooling requirements
  • Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and make necessary adjustments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area before and after production
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and management teams to meet output goals
  • Communicate issues and support continuous improvement efforts

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of press brake operation experience
  • Experience bending metal in a manufacturing or fabrication environment (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Strong math skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with sheet metal
