Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is currently recruiting on behalf of a local manufacturing client for a skilled Powder Coater. This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in powder coating who can step in and contribute right away.

This role will begin as on-call / part-time, with strong potential to grow into full-time (40 hours/week) based on performance and business needs. Afternoon shift opportunities may also become available.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrostatic powder coating on metal parts (steel and aluminum)
• Prepare materials through sandblasting, cleaning, and masking
• Operate and maintain powder coating guns and spray booths
• Ensure proper coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality
• Load and unload parts into curing ovens
• Inspect finished products for defects and rework as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Previous powder coating experience required (must be able to hit the ground running)
• Strong understanding of surface preparation and coating techniques
• Experience using electrostatic spray equipment and curing ovens
• Ability to identify coating defects and adjust processes accordingly
• Physically capable of lifting, standing, and working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
