Production Operator

Location: Lenexa, KS
Pay: $20.00/HR
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Lunch: 1 Hour Unpaid
Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm

Position Overview:

A family-owned manufacturing company in Lenexa is hiring a Production Operator / Machine Tender to support daily production operations. This role involves operating production equipment, inspecting products for quality, and supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing stainless steel medical components.

This is a repetitive, production-focused position best suited for candidates who are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable being on their feet for most of the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate production and manufacturing equipment
Inspect products for quality and accuracy throughout production
Follow SOPs, work instructions, and production procedures
Assist with machine setup and general production support
Report equipment issues or defective materials
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Complete production documentation and records
Support team members as needed throughout production process

Work Environment:

Manufacturing and production environment
Standing and moving for most of the shift
Repetitive production work with attention to detail required
Exposure to machinery, noise, dust, odors, and sharp metal components
PPE provided (safety glasses and hearing protection)

Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Reliable attendance and punctuality are critical
Basic computer skills preferred
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Important Expectations:

Strict 7:00 AM start time
No phone use while operating machinery
Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive work and standing throughout the day
Safety awareness and consistent attendance are extremely important

Physical Requirements:

Standing/walking for extended periods
Frequent bending, reaching, and movement on production floor
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Comfortable working around sharp stainless steel components
