The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations to ensure efficient, on-time, and cost-effective movement of goods. This role manages staff, coordinates workflows, monitors performance, and ensures compliance with safety and company standards. The Operations Manager plays a key role in optimizing processes and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse, transportation, and distribution operations
• Manage, train, and supervise operations staff and team leads
• Coordinate scheduling, routing, and resource allocation to meet delivery deadlines
• Monitor productivity, KPIs, and operational costs; implement improvements as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
• Collaborate with customers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues
• Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Handle employee performance management, timekeeping, and staffing needs
• Prepare reports on operational performance and present findings to leadership

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or operations management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of logistics software, inventory systems, and tracking tools preferred
• High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to work early morning hours consistently
• Occasional lifting, walking, and standing in a warehouse or yard environment
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines

Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 3:30 pm
