Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Property Maintenance Technician!

Position Summary: Our client is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support multiple apartment communities throughout the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City areas. This role involves apartment turns, general maintenance, basic repairs, landscaping support, and property upkeep across residential communities. Candidates must be comfortable traveling between properties, working independently, and handling a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with apartment maintenance, general labor, or landscaping experience who has a general knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete apartment turns including basic repairs, touch-ups, and unit preparation for new residents
• Perform general maintenance tasks across multiple apartment communities
• Assist with basic plumbing and electrical repairs as needed
• Support landscaping, outdoor upkeep, and overall property appearance
• Replace fixtures, complete minor repairs, and assist with preventative maintenance
• Travel between assigned properties throughout Cedar Rapids and Iowa City
• Cover approximately two communities per day across six total properties
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance, apartment turns, or landscaping experience preferred
• General knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems required
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have reliable personal transportation
• Mileage reimbursement provided for travel between properties
• Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and dependable attendance
• Basic hand tool knowledge and general repair skills preferred

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 8am – 5pm

Pay:

• $20-22/hour
