Press Brake Operator needed in Broadview, IL

1st Shift: 5am - 1:30pm Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $19.88/hour

Temp-Hire 

 

Position Summary

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating heavy-duty power press equipment to bend, form, straighten, and shape metal materials while performing the essential functions below.

 

Essential Functions

• Sets up and operates heavy-duty power press and press brake equipment.
  
• Bends, forms, stretches, and straightens metal plates and formed sheet metal components.
  
• Reads and follows work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
  
• Performs hand forming and finishing of workpieces as needed.
  
• Grinds burrs and sharp edges to ensure proper finish and safety standards.
  
• Inspects completed parts for accuracy, quality, and dimensional specifications.
  
• Uses hand tools, grinders, and measuring devices to complete production tasks.
  
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  
• Works in accordance with company safety and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

Previous Press Brake or Power Press experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and production drawings preferred.
Experience working with sheet metal and fabricated metal components.
Ability to use measuring tools and hand tools.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects and tools, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
