CNC Operator

A growing manufacturing company is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join their Machine Shop team. This position is responsible for safely operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision parts and components from materials such as metal and plastic. The ideal candidate will have experience with machine setup, blueprint reading, inspections, and maintaining quality production standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery including milling and turning equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job specifications
• Translate production instructions into machine commands
• Load raw materials and components into machinery
• Perform test runs and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality
• Monitor machine operations throughout production cycles
• Inspect finished products using measuring tools and compare against specifications
• Perform daily machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure functionality
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CNC certification, machining coursework, or technical training preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining or related manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
• Ability to sit and work at a computer as needed
• Frequent use of hands, arms, and hearing/communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and heavier items with team assistance
