Kitchen Helper / Food Production Associate

Location: Edinburg, Pharr & San Juan, TX

Pay: $10.50 – $11.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime Available

• Shifts may begin as early as 5:30 AM and continue until production is completed. Weekend availability required. Two days off may be provided during the week depending on production needs.

 

Express Employment Professionals is now hiring for dependable Kitchen Helpers / Food Production Associates to support busy restaurant and food production operations in the Edinburg, Pharr and San Juan, TX areas. This role involves food preparation, ingredient handling, packaging, sanitation, and general kitchen production duties in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable working long shifts while maintaining food safety and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, mixing ingredients, and portioning food products
• Assist with food preparation, packaging, and production line tasks
• Move, stack, and organize products and materials throughout the kitchen or production area
• Operate basic kitchen equipment and production machinery as needed
• Wash pans, trays, utensils, and maintain clean workstations
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Support kitchen staff and production teams to meet daily production goals
• Perform additional kitchen and warehouse support duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, food prep, restaurant, or food production experience preferred but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Flexible schedule with availability for overtime and weekends
• Food Handler’s Permit is a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
