Salary: $21-$27 hr

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Jamestown, NY client. This position is responsible for overseeing all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness. This role includes hands-on leadership of warehouse staff, coordination with internal departments, and performing detailed inspections of materials to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving Operations

  • Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure on-time delivery and receipt of goods
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices
  • Prepare and process outbound shipments, including labeling, packaging, and documentation
  • Coordinate with carriers and vendors to resolve shipment discrepancies or delays
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or warehouse management systems

Inspection & Quality Control

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials and outgoing products
  • Ensure goods meet quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Document inspection results and maintain inspection records
  • Identify, report, and help resolve non-conforming materials or products
  • Collaborate with quality, production, and procurement teams on corrective actions

Leadership & Team Oversight

  • Lead, train, and support shipping and receiving personnel
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor team performance
  • Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing to ensure operational efficiency

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of materials
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies

 

 

Hours are M-T 6 am to 3 pm and Friday 6 am to 12pm. Hours are subject to change based on production needs. Pay is between $21-25/hr.
