Monday through Friday – 6am to 2:30pm

$25hr to $40hr depending on experience.

A woman-owned small business machine shop specializing in manufacturing high precision complex machined parts and assemblies, mainly for the aerospace industry is seeking a CMM Inspector to join their team in Canoga Park.

Summary: Seeking an inspector using manual inspection tools and CMM. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with blueprint and GD&T, inspection tools and preferred some experience with CMM inspection.

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-process and final inspection of precision machined parts using inspection tools. (micrometer, caliper, height gage, indicator, pin gage, thread gage, optical comparator)
• Read and interpret drawings and GD&T.
• Program and operate CMM for inspection
• Record inspection results and verify compliance to customer drawing and specifications.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience inspecting machined parts in aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Experience with inspection tools, read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preference to some CMM experience with PC-DMIS.
