The Billet Repack Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently handling, sorting, and repacking steel billets to ensure proper organization, quality, and readiness for the forging process. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload, inspect, and organize billets for repacking.

• Repack billets according to production requirements, size, and quality standards.

• Operate forklifts, cranes, or other material-handling equipment to move billets safely.

• Ensure accurate labeling, counting, and documentation of billets.

• Perform quality checks to identify defects or non-conforming materials.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S and safety guidelines.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production needs.

• Assist with other material-handling or warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling role.

• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, or other industrial equipment (certification preferred).

• Strong attention to detail, with ability to perform basic math and measurements.

• Physical ability to lift, move, and handle billets and materials throughout the shift.

• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability.

Work Environment:

• Industrial/manufacturing setting.

• Exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machinery.

• Requires wearing PPE (steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, etc.).
