Overview

Our client has proudly served the Hamilton trucking industry since 1984, provideing reliable truck and trailer repair, preventative maintenance, diagnostics for owner-operators and commercial fleets alike.  We are currently hiring for a 310T mechanic for their busy shop.   

Wage:  $34.00 - $45.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Inspect and repair brake systems, suspension systems, steering components, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment
• Complete MTO safety inspections and ensure vehicles meet compliance standards
• Perform engine repairs, transmission work, and drivetrain repairs as required
• Conduct trailer repairs including lights, ABS systems, doors, flooring, and structural components
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs when needed
• Maintain accurate service records and work orders
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
• Work collaboratively with shop staff and service advisors to meet customer deadlines

Are you Qualified?

• Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician License
• Previous experience working on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, and hydraulics
• Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset
• Valid driver’s license (DZ or AZ considered an asset)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
