Salary: $25-32/hr

Our client, a trusted leader in aluminum extrusion and fabrication with over 20 years of experience, is seeking a Junior Draftsperson for complex aluminum window, curtainwall, door and facade projects. They are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Draftsperson to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their drafting career to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

 

Responsibilities
- Prepare fabrication drawings for aluminum window, curtainwall, door and facades.
- Create and update Revit drawings
- Read architectural and engineering drawings to support the design approval process.
- Maintain organized drawing files and version-controlled records.
- Work with estimators, customer service and the die manager to meet deadlines.
- Assist in generating bills of materials (BOMs) and simple shop drawings.
- Support senior team members in revising drawings based on feedback.

 

Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD Technology
- Revit certification or strong working knowledge
- 1–2 years of drafting experience (co-op/internship counts) – manufacturing, construction or aluminum industry preferred.
- Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
- Basic MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented, flexible and eager to learn.
- Reliable, motivated and able to manage multiple tasks.
