CNC Lathe Operator

Express Employment Professionals in Laguna Hills is recruiting for a CNC Lathe Operator for a well-established aerospace manufacturing client in San Clemente.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday | Start time: 6:00 AM
8+ hour shifts with overtime opportunities available

Pay: $25-$35/Hr. DOE

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC Kia Lathe Turning Centers and/or STAR screw machines using Fanuc controls. The ideal candidate will have experience producing close-tolerance aerospace parts and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Daily production of precision machined metal components
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or STAR machines using Fanuc controls
• Verify first article inspections with Foreman
• Make program adjustments and offsets as needed
• Troubleshoot machinery issues
• Review blueprints and job specifications
• Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, CMMs, eye loupes, and other measuring equipment
• Maintain production quality and meet production goals
• Maintain machine cleanliness and overall shop organization
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of CNC setup and operation experience
• Experience machining close-tolerance aerospace parts (+/- .0002)
• Ability to independently complete setups quickly and accurately
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
• Ability to read blueprints and inspect precision parts
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, and inspection equipment
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and noisy manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality parts with minimal errors
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
