Entry Level Help Desk Tech

- Primary Responsibilities
- Respond to client support requests via phone, email, remote tools, and ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot Windows 10 and 11 desktop and laptop issues.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 administration: Password resets, MFA setup, mailbox issues,     

   license assignment.
- Support Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint end-user issues.
- Perform workstation setup, software installation, updates, and user profile configuration.
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, monitors, docking stations, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting: Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and

  VPN.
- Document all work clearly and completely in the ticketing system.
- Follow established SOPs, checklists, and escalation procedures.
- Assist with user onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintain client documentation, asset records, and support notes.
- Escalate issues appropriately when outside current skill level or authority.
- Participate in routine maintenance, patching support, and security follow-up tasks.
- Travel to client sites in the East Bay as needed; occasional after-hours support may be

  required.

 

Required Qualifications
•Resides in the East Bay (Contra Costa or Alameda County preferred).
•Basic understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11. macOS is a plus.
•Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
•Familiarity with common desktop hardware, printers, and networking equipment.
•Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with non-technical users.
•Strong customer service mindset and patient, respectful demeanor.
•Good written documentation habits.
•Ability to follow procedures and ask good questions when unsure.
•Reliable attendance and professional conduct, in person, virtually, verbally and in writing.
•Valid California driver's license and proof of insurance (client site visits required).
•Ability to lift and carry IT equipment up to 50 lbs.
