Carpenter Assistant 

 

Position Summary:

As a Carpenter Assistant you report directly to the Custom Builds Manager and support daily carpentry and warehouse operations. This entry level position provides valuable opportunities to grow and learn within the industry and all tools will be provided. You are responsible for assisting with the preparation, building, and finishing of custom event structures, props, and installations while maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Your duties as a warehouse operations specialist will include the following tasks.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of power tools, with the ability to safely and effectively operate a wide range of equipment commonly used in carpentry and construction projects.
  • Possesses hands-on experience in carpentry, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials; experience with custom builds and one-of-a-kind projects is strongly preferred and considered a valuable asset.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of shop safety protocols, consistently following best practices to ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment for both self and team members.
  • Skilled in painting and staining techniques, with the ability to prepare surfaces properly and deliver high quality finishes that meet design and durability expectations.
  • Capable of accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, layouts, and design plans provided by sales designers and vendors, and applying that information to both new construction and modifications of existing custom builds.
  • Exhibits strong problem-solving abilities and exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard of craftsmanship.
  • Works effectively both as part of a team and independently, demonstrating adaptability in collaborative environments as well as self-motivation when working on individual tasks or projects.
  • Holds a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks and towing trailers is preferred, with the ability to transport materials and equipment safely and responsibly.
